Tom Martin - Hyperrealism

Did you know that photorealism is an American art movement that began in the 1960s? It is a genre of painting that resembles photography in immaculate details. Along with Roberto Bernardi's super realistic paintings that I posted earlier, I'm once again blown away by these amazing paintings of Tom Martin, a 23 year old hyperrealist painter from the UK.

I say, "just point and shoot." Unbelievable amount of work to make those pictures look so realistic. Take a picture and move on. ha ha

Happy Friday, Veronica. Cold and snow in the forecast here. Have a nice day at the beach and think of me this weekend.

These paintings look nothing like paintings. I kept looking at them for any signs of brush and paint stroke. Wow, this guy is really good.

That DOES seem like a lot of work to accomplish realistic pictures of everyday packaging. The talent seems sort of wasted on candy wrappers.
