Teatime snack — taro and shrimp fritters

FROM THE TRAVEL ARCHIVES

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo 2011

In 2011, MINI ran an advertising campaign in the Middle East with their Countryman to promote the Drive Out Loud MINI Festival. The compact car was stripped out and dropped into the middle of a tank at the Aquarium of the Dubai Mall. In case you were wondering, the Countryman you see here was merely a replica built of fibreglass, thus it was 100 percent safe for the aquarium.

What is shaped like a music note and produces a wacky "wah" sound?
Son#1, a violinist, was gifted an otamatone for his birthday. This silly, zany little instrument is surprisingly hard to play.

An otamatone in action
Some people are just so talented!
