Can't believe we have been so close to each other for many years, not knowing it at that time or else we would have met! Not far from Singapore and neither from Java.
Rotheca myricoides'Ugandense', we once used to have here in our garden... Miss its beauty. You show some extraordinary photos.
And the food is kind of torture for me, especially as we near lunch time... Enak sekali.
Hugs,
Mariette

Darling Vero,
ReplyDeleteSuch endearing pictures.
Thank you for taking me back to the Philippines. That's one place I miss the most, much more than Singapore. Though we lived there for almost the same duration or maybe a little more at SG.
I loved the Jeepneys though never took a ride. Cebu we did'nt end up visiting but we went scuba diving to Anilao and other places. Also to Bohol which is one of the best travel experiences of my life Whale watching.
What a spread there? Did you cook it all? :)
And that kitty is purrrfectly awwwdorable. :-))
Your hometown looks lush and fairy tale like. That multi-coloured bridge has my <3
Big hugs and happy vibes for a fabulous weekend, my friend.
Loads of love too.
Oh, what a pretty patterned cat, dear Veronica! Apparently she had an accident with her tail (like my friend Maria's cat had)...
ReplyDeleteI really like the colorful bridge in your hometown - why aren't bridges designed so cheerfully more often?
Your food photos blow my mind, I haven't had lunch today!
All the best and have a nice weekend,
Traude

A nice mix of photos Veronica. I especially like the line of colourful bridges. We have a bush we call butterfly bush but it's nothing like your own. Ours is buddleia and comes in many shades of pink and lilac as well as having a very lovely smell that butterflies cant resist.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing the Jeepneys. My step grandma was from the Philippines. She's the only grandma I knew on that side.
ReplyDeleteI've seen that plant before, the mussaendra and wondered what it was called
