Perfect Timing

I can hear and see the *LRT train in the distance from my balcony and kitchen window as it rumbles along the track on its scheduled runs.

 *Light Rail Transit

At around dinner time, I listen for the sound of the train and I know that my son is riding in one on his way home from the office.

And by the time he arrives home, the table is set and a warm meal awaits him.

  16. Growing up, we had trains running on nearby tracks. I loved the sound of the train whistle blowing and the clackity-clack of the wheels on the rails. I grow nostalgic whenever I'm around trains. So glad this one signal good news for you!

  24. I never liked to eat the moment I got home from work. I preferred to relax for a while, chat to my wife, have a glass of wine, and then have dinner. We all have our own practices, don't we?

  25. My whole life I enjoyed going with train, even their speed here is not so big. Every day you can imagine a new travel. It's fun!
Happy WW, Veronica! Have a fabulous week!

  26. Your son is a lucky guy!
Is the LRT fairly new? If more people take it, it would relieve the congestion in KL (I'm assuming this is in KL).

  32. You are so fortunate to hear and see the train from your balcony. I LOVE THE TRAIN! My grandfather worked on the railroad, and it has always reminded me of him. I used to hear the train from a distance in the towns I lived in, but now that I'm in the mountains, I don't hear it anymore. That's so sweet that you think of your son riding home from work when you hear the train, and have his meal warm and ready for him. This is a wonderful post, and the train is wonderful to hear.

  35. Dearest Veronica,
How special to kind of know when your son is arriving home from work.
Wish we had trains for passengers here, like in my birth country The Netherlands and also like in Jakarta where we could see the trains come and go from our hotel room... A very special way of traveling.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  43. How fun that you can see and hear the LRT leaving the city. When we lived in New York City we took the subway everywhere. It was so convenient.
We have Light Rail here too, in Colorado, and we often take it into the city of Denver when we go to big events where parking is hard to find.

  46. That's sweet. Our last home had a light rail stop just around the corner. We lived there when D was really little and M would come home in it. Going to the stop and waiting for him was the highlight of D's day.
