I can hear and see the *LRT train in the distance from my balcony and kitchen window as it rumbles along the track on its scheduled runs.
*Light Rail Transit
At around dinner time, I listen for the sound of the train and I know that my son is riding in one on his way home from the office.
And by the time he arrives home, the table is set and a warm meal awaits him.
What a beautiful story! I like that the train notifies you when your son comes home and you make sure he finds the hot food.
ReplyDeleteHave a fine day, Veronica!
Such a sweet connection of train and mom's love :-)
ReplyDelete...we have no light rail in this area! I hope that you are enjoying your week.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteNice story, seeing the train and thinking of your son. We have a light rain and the Amtrak trains near my area. Take care, enjoy your day!
Perfect timing indeed. What a great way to do it. I know your son appreciates that warm meal after a day at work. You rock.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ♥
Perfect strategy to prepare lunch in time. Moms have always a solution for everything and for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you always know when your son is coming home. I live near the airport and can watch the planes starting and landing. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGreat arrangement.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to be able to follow his timing like that. A nice opportunity to serve hot food :)
ReplyDeleteLucky son!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos from your balcony, and how wonderful to have you waiting with a warm meal for your son! Good mom :)
ReplyDeleteHello Veronica,

ReplyDeleteHope that your week is going well :)
Away From The Blue
How cool. I've never ridden on a train before.
ReplyDeleteI think light train is a combination of tram and metro features, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGreat view from your balcony, Veronica! I live close to the railway station, although I don't see the trains from my balcony :-)
Have a nice week ahead of you!
Perfect indeed.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your meals!
Such a nice post !Beautiful photoes too :))
ReplyDeleteThat train sure is fancy, we've got nothing like that here!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up, we had trains running on nearby tracks. I loved the sound of the train whistle blowing and the clackity-clack of the wheels on the rails. I grow nostalgic whenever I'm around trains. So glad this one signal good news for you!
ReplyDeleteA nice way to stay connected.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to know your son will soon be home. I'm sure he appreciates a warm meal after the end of a busy day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post - to see the train making its' way to you bringing your son home for dinner. I love this.
ReplyDeleteGenial forma de saber que tu hijo este bien,.Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteI think they are so posh considering the crappy rail service NZ has. hope your son was happy with his dinner.
ReplyDeleteThat is some "clock", a train, very cool.
ReplyDeleteGostei da sequência de fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

Hello Veronica,
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. A great view from your own window.
Special with that train.
Greetings, Marco
I never liked to eat the moment I got home from work. I preferred to relax for a while, chat to my wife, have a glass of wine, and then have dinner. We all have our own practices, don't we?
ReplyDeleteLoved the 3rd pic the best!
ReplyDeleteMy whole life I enjoyed going with train, even their speed here is not so big. Every day you can imagine a new travel. It's fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW, Veronica! Have a fabulous week!
Your son is a lucky guy!
ReplyDeleteIs the LRT fairly new? If more people take it, it would relieve the congestion in KL (I'm assuming this is in KL).
How Cool Is This - Makes My Heart Smile
ReplyDeleteCheers
Perfect timing for you and your son Nice view of the train from your balcony.
ReplyDeleteGotta love it when trains run on time!
ReplyDeleteYour son must also be grateful to come home to a hot meal!
the sound of a train, bringing home a loved one, now that is special!!
ReplyDeletei can hear the train horn off in the distance from my home office. i always smile with that same thought...it is bringing a loved one home!!
What a lovely way to know your son will soon be home ...
ReplyDeleteI hope he enjoyed his dinner :)
All the best Jan
You are so fortunate to hear and see the train from your balcony. I LOVE THE TRAIN! My grandfather worked on the railroad, and it has always reminded me of him. I used to hear the train from a distance in the towns I lived in, but now that I'm in the mountains, I don't hear it anymore. That's so sweet that you think of your son riding home from work when you hear the train, and have his meal warm and ready for him. This is a wonderful post, and the train is wonderful to hear.

Maybe one day your son will spot you in the window from the train? You sound like a wonderful mum Veronica.
ReplyDeleteOh it's so nice, waiting Mom and coming Home Son. A warm meal is so important!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Kirsi
Dearest Veronica,
ReplyDeleteHow special to kind of know when your son is arriving home from work.
Wish we had trains for passengers here, like in my birth country The Netherlands and also like in Jakarta where we could see the trains come and go from our hotel room... A very special way of traveling.
Hugs,
Mariette
Glad to hear that no one of your family members in the LRT...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend
What a lovely, heart-warming story! It's so nice to be welcomed back from a work with warm meals seasoned with mom's love.
ReplyDeleteYoko
Lovely.
ReplyDeleteHola Verónica, bonitas las fotografías, siempre sabes cuando tu hijo va a llegar.
ReplyDeleteBuen día.
Un abrazo
It is wonderful to see your part of the world. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI can well imagine that your son appreciates the timing of dinner, Veronica Lee.
ReplyDeleteI love how you tell this story. What a system you have!
ReplyDeleteLove this! You have such an amazing view of the city :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you can see and hear the LRT leaving the city. When we lived in New York City we took the subway everywhere. It was so convenient.
ReplyDeleteWe have Light Rail here too, in Colorado, and we often take it into the city of Denver when we go to big events where parking is hard to find.
your train sounds have bcome a major indicator of happenings in your world
ReplyDeleteYou've got a great system set up here! Piping hot dinner ready as he comes through the door!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/11/more-monarchs.html
That's sweet. Our last home had a light rail stop just around the corner. We lived there when D was really little and M would come home in it. Going to the stop and waiting for him was the highlight of D's day.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great view you have of the city and the train in the distance. And your post is such a wonderful reminder of how special our time around the dinner table with family is!
ReplyDeleteLoved this what a nice post and photos too
ReplyDeleteHave a goodtimingtastic week 👍
That is a great way to have your son's meal ready for when he gets in.
ReplyDeleteI love trains and the photos are wonderful. This was a very wonderful post. Thanks
ReplyDeleteIn some places you can run your schedule by the train schedule. Your son is lucky to have a meal waiting for him.
ReplyDeletePerfect set up! I love trains and subways when not too crowded.
