Thai lunch today  Moo Grob

In loving memory of Oreo —  it has been 5 years since her passing.
Gone but never forgotten

Air and water at a gas station except that ...
... air here isn't air!  Air (pronounced as aiyer) is water in Malay and angin is air!  Go figure!

Malaysia street food

Popiah  spring roll made from a soft, thin paper-like crepe with a filling of  julienned jicama, tofu, carrot and cucumber.

I haven't the faintest idea what these are. Anyone?

Durian season!!

It is not uncommon to see durians on sidewalks displayed by vendors during the durian season!
You can read more about The King of Fruits here and here.

Interesting facts on the pineapples. Clever name, too, we call them "Ananas"- makes no sense at all!
No street food here since the darn Covid. Beautiful flowers, but no idea what these are.
    Can you eat durians?

  19. You had some great photo collages in this post, Veronica Lee. The pineapple is certainly more interesting now. You must be on a high floor to get such wonderful cotton ball clouds compared to our 5th (highest floor) here. Oreo was very sweet and liked his head wear. All the foods made me hungry.

  20. I'm intrigued about durians. I don't think I have ever even seen one here, let along eat some of it.

  23. Cute Oreo! Very sweet! My first thought was to ask if it was real - then I understood that it was and will never be forgotten. ❤️ I had many years ago a little hamster named Shoni. I know how are this sweet little creatures.
I like the cotton balls! The prickly fruits are extraordinarily interesting!
I see something like this for the first time!
I don't know the name of the flower you don't know, but it's special - looks like... several pink bodies placed in a circle. 😊

I wish you beautiful days, Veronica!

  27. Hi, dearest Veronica, I didn't know that pineapples are inviting to such mathematical games ;-) You have a great view of the sky from your balcony! You had a cute guinea pig. Ours was called Niki - it died in 2009. You can see a picture of him here: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2009/09/sternengarten.html
I have a suspicion about the plant:

  36. I am sure Oreo had the best of life. I like to believe we will be reunited with our fur family in the great beyond.
Those egg roll type things look yummy. Would like to try them. Maybe with a little sweet and sour sauce or pepper jelly?
Had no idea there was math involved in the 'design' of the pineapple. So interesting!! Nature is amazing.

  46. Aren't durians the ones that smell rather bad but taste delicious? (I'll Google it after I send this). There are a few small farmers who grow exotic" (to us) fruits near our Florida home and I'm pretty sure I've seen, smelled, tasted, and liked one of these but didn't buy because they were gigantic in size. ... I enjoyed your photo collection.
