The Old Lady And Her Cat

You've probably seen these heartwarming pics as they have gone viral for some time now. They are from a collection of photographs by Miyoko Ihara chronicling the ordinary daily life of her elderly grandmother and her beloved odd-eyed cat Fukumaru.
An inseparable duo
Miyoko Ihara began snapping pictures of the extraordinary relationship between her now 89-year-old grandmother, Misa, and her feline companion fourteen years ago.
These charming pics have now been published in a book and the pair  has struck a chord with people all over Japan.

Awww, so sweet!

We used to have a kitty with two different colored eyes--I swear he was deaf. Seriously.

No, I haven't seen these images, and I'm delighted that you shared them with us. Wow, beautiful cat, and I'm sure the lady is a sweetheart. LOVE the photo of the kitty in the basket behind the bike seat.

That's cool! I bet if something were to happen to the cat Misa wouldn't live as long. They have a special relationship.

The only photo I was like, "Humm that doesn't look safe." is the one where Misa is cutting the fish. The cat is right there. What if she slipped?

Thank you for your lovely comments and visit to my blog! I've enjoyed looking at your posts ... and just LOVE this one. This story is just adorable. I'm a cat lover, and was blessed to have a cat that was my little "shadow", as I called him. Pets are precious companions.
