Buongiorno!
I'm back from my vacation in Italy with the hubs and Son#2.
Today is my first day back online after being off-grid for more than 10 days and I'm inundated. I am jetlagged (Italy is 7 hours behind Malaysia) and feeling a little under the weather.
We caught the flu on the plane on our return flight back to Malaysia. Almost everyone onboard was either sneezing, coughing or both!
I have missed blogging and connecting with you all and can't wait to hear what you guys have been up to but I need a little time to get back into gear.
Until then ...
I have missed blogging and connecting with you all and can't wait to hear what you guys have been up to but I need a little time to get back into gear.
While it was a glorious week in beautiful Italy, it's wonderful to be home — the familiar smells, the food, the warm weather (80°F), the sunny skies and the comforts and security of home sweet home.
Ciao!
Get well soon, Veronica!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you caught the flu on the way back, Veronica. I hope you enjoyed visiting my country. Weather was perfect in Italy from 27th december to 3rd January: never too hot and never too cold.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture of you and you family close to colosseum. Have you visited it? ... that oval amphitheatre, which is located in the centre of the city of Rome, is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world today, despite its age.
I hope you will feel better soon :-)
Sorry you caught flu but hope you had a great holiday. Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours! 🥂🍾
ReplyDeleteI am eager to hear about your holiday. ✨️
Welcome home. Get well now!
ReplyDeleteGet Well soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Veronica! Get well!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better after the flu!! Happy New Year - glad your back.
ReplyDeleteBuongiorno Veronica!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and yes we too well know this feeling...
Adapting to different climates is already a challenge.
Eat and rest well so the flu will dissipate.
We got back on Monday evening from 8 days in Florida.
It was sunny except the day of arrival as they too had a cold front coming in from the north where it was extremely bitter cold with snow blizzards.
We feel fortunate and you no doubt had an interesting time with your son #2.
Familiar sights for us...
For New Year's Eve I'd posted a video where I speak Bahasa Indonesia... in 1998 on New Year's Eve.
Big hugs,
Mariette
I am so sorry to hear about the flu but welcome back! Take it easy, Veronica and get well soon!

Dear, dear Vero,
ReplyDeleteSo very thrilled that you finally got to go for your much awaited vacation. My best friend was also traveling to Italy with her family around the same time.
You all look happy, but do I know the feeling of returning to the cosy comfort of our own homes.
It's also freezing in my part of the world.
I keep looking back at our family holiday at Turkey pre Christmas with so much joy in my heart too.
I wish you delightful days ahead and a supremely blessed 2023.
Feel better soon and get that chicken soup for the soul.
Hugs and kisses xoxox

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Costa Rica! I'm traveling right now, and it was chaos getting here, but I've been here long enough to say I didn't catch a cold on the plane. I wore a mask too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tall guy, son #2 is. He's towering over both of you, LOL. Was the trip part of his birthday present?
Hope you are feeling better. Nice photo in Italy. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo you shared of your family in front of the coliseum, it reminds me of when we visited Rome back in 2015. Feel better soon!

Sorry about your flu Veronica. There's a lot of it around I'm told. Strange there was no flu for two years! There I go again with my theories.
