THE COLOUR RED
Painter's palette (Anthurium andraeanum)
Chinese clogs
Fun factTraditionally, two pairs of clogs, usually painted red, form part of a dowry for a Chinese bride. Chinese clogs have no left or right foot distinction.

Thanks for your sharing...
ReplyDeleteVibrant, bright and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the colour red, that phone box is out of this world. Thanks Veronica.
ReplyDeleteLove all the red, especially those gorgeous flowers! I never knew that about Chinese clogs either! Fun photos!
ReplyDeleteThere used to be a time when women wore bright red lipstick and nail polish, but one rarely sees that any more. A Northern Cardinal male is singing in my garden as I write this - now that's red!
ReplyDeleteYou have found many beautiful red things, Veronica! I love the red anthurium.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!
You can't help but wake up and pay attention when you see the color red. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteDearest Veronica,
ReplyDeleteRed used to be the favorite color of my Mom.
LOVE your photos of the Anthurium, they thrive so well in your region.
Chinese clogs would be awkward to wear as good fitting footwear is of the utmost importance.
Hugs,
Mariette
Great photos, Veronica. Red is my favorite colour.

Vivid red. I like them all, but looking at the phone made me smile. They still have those? Way cool.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Veronica. ♥
Me gusta ese color en especial las flores. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the iconic red telephone booth photo you showed from London. It would be so much fun to see one of these in person before they all disappear!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the phone booth.

That red clogs not available anymore but it brings old memories ....

ReplyDeleteOh, I really liked this post, as red flowers and red birds are my favorite. I love red in fashion too. The black and white photos with a touch of red are very cool. And those red flowers are so unique. Is it almost time for sandals, oh my? The red cat tails are unusual, aren't they?

*thank you for your comment about the dreams. I have also heard something similar to that, that when we have a dream of someone, they are thinking of us. It was interesting to read your comment. : )

ReplyDeleteThis was a great subject matter to select, Veronica Lee, as the color red can brings vibrance anywhere it is spotted. My favorite in this grouping was the statue and artwork in the final image. I am quite sure there is a story behind both.

ReplyDeleteFeliz fin de semana.
This is my favorite color. I like that Red hot cat tail (Acalypha hispida). It looks like a craft pipe cleaner to me. I've seen them in a greenhouse garden here.
ReplyDeleteLove all the red. Red is my favorite color. Ever since I was a little girl, red has always been my color.
