I was traipsing around my hometown looking for a coffee shop when these murals stopped me in my tracks.
Gotta love Marilyn Monroe.
... and Charlie Chaplin...
“We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity; more than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.” ― Charlie Chaplin
I especially like the Charlie Chaplain message. His words seem very appropriate in today's world.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sharing...
ReplyDeleteI agree with David about the Charlie Chaplin quote.
ReplyDeleteBoth murals are well done and great finds.
I always look at murals with care and love them very much:-) These are really great. Happy new week:-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool murals. Whoever painted them was very talented.
ReplyDeleteDid you find a coffeeshop?
ReplyDeleteI like those murals! Do you think they were old? Wonder how many young people would know who Marilyn Monroe was or Charlie Chaplin, but I like both of the quotes features here of theirs.
Hope you had a nice Mother's Day Veronica! Happy Mother's Day to you as well!
betty
Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe are my favorites. The murals are also nice. The messages are very meaningful, especially Charlie Chaplin.
ReplyDeleteShe is still awesome and I love the quote.
ReplyDeleteI see in Charlie Chaplin quote an invitation to stop this chaotic and violent life.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the painter: the two murals marvelous!

I like the Chaplin quote. He is so right!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping your restrictions are getting better there. Things are changing quickly here in the states. It's sort of weird being with people again.
Especially love the one of Charlie Chaplin
ReplyDeleteSad words from Marilyn...
ReplyDeletebeautiful. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Like it!
ReplyDeleteFunny... love reading the Post.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful murals! I love the Chaplin message. The Marilyn Monroe one...not so much! :)
ReplyDeleteWhere is this? Reminds me of Singapore but I don't think that's where you are? The Monroe is too negative, I'll stick with Charile.
ReplyDeleteYou found two "greats" there Veronica. Interesting quotes too. By all accounts though, Marilyn was less than perfect?
ReplyDeleteHow wise and humane are Charlot's words!
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of these murals.
Happy WW, dear Veronica! ♥
