A Feast For The Eyes

I was googling stroopwafel and somehow landed on Rommy de Bommy's Instagram page.

This wasn't what I had in mind!

Scrolling down her page, I discovered that Rommy from The Netherlands creates fun, quirky food-inspired handbags, clutches and purses.

All of her unique designs are meticulously handmade.  The bags feature a concealed zip and hollow centre, with enough space to hold a phone, keys, purse and even a little makeup!

In case you are wondering how much they cost...

These are only 25% of all her bags!

Feast your eyes on loads more on her Instagram here.

So which one is your favourite?

  1. Creative to be sure, but I must confess they interest me about as much as watching paint dry!

  2. I like them all but really liked the salmon one! What a novel idea! Can't afford to buy one but can you imagine how much attention one would have if they were to have such a purse. I bet a lot of people would comment on it :)

(I'm taking a blogging posting break for a bit but still reading blogs; all well, just concentrating on other things right now :)

    Happy New Year!

  5. What fun bags! I love the giant cookie one! That would get so many smiles wearing a bag like this around! :)

  6. Very funny! I want an ice cream! To eat, not to hang one on my shoulder. :)
I wish you a beautiful week!

  7. Fun to look at but I think it'd be weird to use and really hard not to damage all the little parts. As for cost, way out of my comfort zone.

  8. Never heard of her:) But many Dutch are inventive. I would walk away with the dumpling, and with the ice cream. The rest is too much foodie for me. Here comes your fun side bubbling up - would you wear one of these?? Interesting post for All Seasons though:) Hope your holidays were enjoyable, and we are looking at a New year with new possibilities. That it maybe easier on all of us, Jesh

But I can not say I would by a bag of these kind. But I imagine that kids would really adore them! I wonder how will be as magnets for fridge?

  14. They certainly made me laugh. I liked the waffle one and the pancakes too. I think I would always be hungry if I carried one though.

  15. Veronica,

I don't think I'll be carrying a purse like these for fear someone would try to eat my bag. The stack of pancakes purse is pretty cool, though. What a fun post! Here's to the new year being safer, kinder, and gentler to you, my friend!
