Chow Chow

The hubs and I were passing a parking lot when we spotted this friendly chow chow in a pickup truck.

The owner was nowhere to be seen.
We hopped into a pharmacy nearby to pick up some meds and according to the pharmacist who was attending to us, the dog in the truck is a familiar sight in this part of the neighbourhood.

Apparently, the owner stops by regularly to run an errand while the dog waits patiently in the truck!

  1. Cute doggie. Smart too, if he knows to just sit and wait for his owner to return.

  9. Lovely dogs. I hear they can be aggressive but I'm not sure if that's true. How interesting that you see Tree Pipits in your mum's garden. But you don't say where that is.

  10. Thank you Veronica. I think the “Burung Pipit” is a generic name for a number of different species of pipits and possibly birds of other bird families.

The pipit family has more than forty species worldwide, the Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis) being just one of those. I am pretty sure that Anthus trivialis does not occur as far east as Malaysia, and that your “tree pipit” is one of the other 39, perhaps Paddyfield Pipit (Anthus rufulus) or Richards Pipit (Anthus richardi).
