Last night, I was at the beach.
I could breathe in that balmy, salty air.
My feet sank and squished into the warm, wet sand at the edge of the waves.
I never felt more serene and peaceful...
But alas, I woke up from that vivid dream and sadly realized that we're still under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). The ban on interstate travel has not been lifted.
We have been under partial lockdown since March 18th.
My nearest weekend beach is just an hour's drive away but it is in another state.
It will be some time before I can hear the soothing sound of waves again.

Such a beautiful beach! Hope you get there soon. We are locked down again with a curfew following the riots here. Each day brings new adventures lol! Stay safe!

What a nice post 😊 thanks for your sharing 😊
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome photos, Veronica. As for the beach...it will be there and is waiting for you to enjoy once again...:)jp
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. I miss the beach too. The beach is about two hours away from me, and it's also in another state. My state has started phase 1 of reopening, but there's a lot of fear about going out at the moment. Plus, there are some riots going on too.
ReplyDeleteYou can't travel on the interstate? Our freeways a clogged with traffic. I'm with you though. Going to the beach would be fabulous.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day and week. ♥
A trip to the beach sounds nice.. ours is just 30 mins away. But we have a lot of rules in place and it is warming up but isn't hot enough to hit the waters just yet.. maybe sometime later this month.
ReplyDeleteWe just returned from a short trip to the beach! It's so peaceful listening to the waves. Hopefully you will be able to take a trip soon.
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful. i am a lover of the beach and feel the same way about it. here in florida we are able to go, but so many people are not being safe, i don't venture out much. we did make a trip out to the beach before they lifted the stay at home order (i had to have my fix) and it was so quiet and peaceful i loved it. now...i'm staying away and hanging by the pool to get my water fix

You can be at the beach when you meditate. It will help lift your spirits. I have been doing that and a lot of yoga to keep sane these days. There is all sort of crap going on in the states on top of Covid. It's not good...and it is very hard to keep positive with so much hate spewing in all directions.
ReplyDeleteStay tough, pally!
As for me, I'm missing the serenity of the mountains. May not get home to Colorado this summer. Still hoping! Have a grand week!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/06/more-quarantine-baking.html. Let us find Him in the stillness.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will get back to that beach soon Veronica. There's nothing like a drop of sea air - just a mile away for us.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to walk on the beach soon. I've always found the beach to be a place of renewal for me.
ReplyDeleteSecond day of Summer. I miss the Beach too.
ReplyDeleteWe have local beaches and parks, but we haven't been to any in order to stay away from crowded places. I find that I dream about the pandemic and lockdown every night now. Last night I was walking in a crowd and couldn't get away. Must be watching too much news, so we have stopped daytime TV. - Margy
ReplyDeleteOh no! When I read the beginning of this post, I thought you actually got to go to the beach. I think it will be a while before we get to the beach. The closest one is 3 hours away - not great for a day trip. I hope you get to visit the beach soon!
ReplyDeleteBe Still -I thought of that yesterday, when Jesus said it to calm the storm! Sorry, you have to wait a little longer to hear and save the waves:) Rather than focusing on the negative (and there's a lot of that in this situation) take up you warrior gear and actively pray for this (especially "fear" and "blindness to "new possibilities") to stop!!Because God is bigger:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThe pandemic keeps us from things (and people!) we love. I hope you will have a chance to get to your beach soon!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo!
Just like you, I also dreamed of going to the beach because I really wanted to play the waves at the beach ... hopefully in the near future. Greetings from Indonesia.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the beach and I hope you get to go there very soon! Lovely photo and Bible verse.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of 'My Corner of the World' this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry it was just a dream. It will eventually become a reality.
Behold, I give you in return the sound and the image of the waves of the Aegean Sea, as I recorded them three years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A5H3paPvI4
Have a great day!
I missed the sea also!
ReplyDeleteThe beach is like a huge charger with life. So I still do not understand
why they decided to close this healthy places...
All the best and a Happy WW!
I love it!
ReplyDeleteI so agree! But I'm 10 hours away! Enjoy when you get there. Until then, stay safe!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunsets at the beach.
ReplyDeleteWe need to be hopeful as these days shall end soon and your dream would be a reality.
Have a cheerful week!
A very big YAS to this Veronica! As an Island boy, I've longed for the beach for a long time! I know I've been born on the city miles away from the beaches but being a Filipino, our hearts were born with the ocean on its side! Wish we can all see the beach again soon when all is safe!
ReplyDeleteLove the scripture. The Lord is our God and He is bigger than any virus or war or superpower country!
It is a beautiful beach and I hope you soon get to visit it again.
ReplyDeleteMe and you both. I miss the beach so much too! I know I'm about to go to bed, and girlfriend how about we'll meet at the beach in our dreams and go swimming together, but not to far out... ya never know!!! hahahaha NO SPLASHING!!! I'll bring the watermelon!!! hahaha Wouldn't that be wonderful? Anyway, see you soon... hope the water isn't cold! hahaha Stay healthy and stay safe my friend. Nice to talk to you! The BEACH it is... see you soon! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh it's fun to dream isn't it?
Same here since March 13 !! From Monday on we are allowed to go to the see it's not that far and also we are allowed to meet 10 people, it's a strange time for all countries in the world !
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful the words and description from your dream and the photos. The first shot is my favourite,
ReplyDeletegreetings from Germany
Kirsi
Love your photos! And your description. Also, Psalm 46:10 is my absolute favorite Bible verse.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am missing the beach too...
I can just get some consolation when I go to lake Garda, which is quite big and there are mostly stony beaches.
But the seaside is different.
All the best!
I miss the beach, too. Ours is open now, but the reason I'm avoiding it is the opposite of yours...I can, but I won't as too many people are gathering there.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the beach last week and it was just what we needed. I love this scripture!
ReplyDeleteThe beaches were just "opened" but there is no parking. I miss the beach as well! #trafficjamweekend
ReplyDeleteI think it is going to take some time before life gets back to normal. Thanks for the visit and the comment. Have a good day, Diane
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a wonderful dream! Lovely sunset photos.
