It's hard to find solitude when you share a home with 3 other family members in a cluttered 1208 sq ft condominium.
So, whenever I feel like I'm snowed under by life's demands, I would head on over to the poolside on the ground floor late in the evening.
The pool is always deserted at this time.
My sanctum where I spend my quiet time with the Lord.
Where is your sanctum?
Wonderful place 😊
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteMy Sanctum is in the woods from the mountains, but because it's not always accessible to me I am happy to walk at night with my little dog. Is heard the silence. :)
All the best!
My Sanctum is in the cradle under the rambutan tree in front of the house.
ReplyDeletelooks like a great place and i think i would love it at that time too. my favorite place...on the patio surrounded by the pool and birds singing, especially early in the morning as things come awake

Great quiet place Veronica! Mine is the bedroom where the treadmill is. I can close the door and sit on the floor and have my devotional time!
ReplyDeleteBetty
I would do the same. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. ♥
The shower.. or my room when the kids are at school.
ReplyDeleteI can see why that's your peaceful place. When I want to get away, I like a nice warm shower. Not a long one. It's just quiet, and out of the crazy talkative way.
ReplyDeleteYep...it is hard to share a space with so many. I'm glad you have a place to escape to at least.
ReplyDeleteMy house is empty and quiet these days, but I still find God in nature--at the Farm, while I am hiking, or just sitting out by the pond. I also find peace in my yoga class.
Looks lovely there great photo and so clear :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a sanctumtastic week :-)
That's an amazing sanctum Veronica! Looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteMine is Sinhagad Valley. It's a bird-spotting place a few kilometers from my home. We reach there before sunrise and sort of hide ourselves at known spots where exotic birds like Paradise Flycatcher come for a morning bath!
My Sanctum is the deep Finnish forest.
ReplyDeleteBut yours is not so bad... ;)
When I was younger and lived in a condo, I also loved sitting by the pool at night. I'm retired and live alone. My home is my sanctuary, especially my chair in my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a lovely spot to spend time, even late at night. It can be reassuring sometimes to just sit and think, clearing our heads of the troubles of the day.
ReplyDeletewow.. nice spot
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful, beautiful spot! My sanctum is most often a little wooded trail behind my house.
ReplyDeleteNice view!! I guess the only ME time I have is when I'm at the gym. I used to go for walks or bike rides but haven't done that in a long while.
ReplyDeleteHave to admit that I am spoiled rotten in this aspect. It is a haven of quietness, after the traffic and noise from Los Angeles to live in the forest. The only disadvantage is that I did not find any friends, for the first time in my life. Am not complaining, but just an observation. We will go back to the city eventually though, because owning land takes all of hubby's time, and he likes to do some other things in life, but probably not such a big metropolis. Wow, and here I thought you had an Eastern religion (laughing), am glad I got to know you better, and I am happy I will see you later in heaven!
ReplyDeleteNot to forget, thank you for sharing with All Seasons, and hope you can find some more quiet time. Look up the Youtubes of Kevin Zadai (some are at the Sid Roth show). I think you'll like these.
That looks absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a perfect place to hang out! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, quiet place to sit and pray and contemplate. I'm so glad you have it for your own retreat.
ReplyDeleteYour link-up at 'My Corner of the World' is very much appreciated!
My Corner of the World
Now that I'm retired and the Mister still works, the house is quiet and all mine.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteI try to use my son's naptime as my sanctum. On vacation early morning on the beach or porch of wherever we stay for a few minutes gives me peace.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful spot to spend time relaxing. Lovely scene and photo. Wishing you a great day!
Mine is right before bed when I say my prayers and talk to my Lord. I pray for my cousin and a friend of mine because they both have Cancer. My cousin I grew up with her and I'm so sad that she caught that disease. Cancer is horrible & I'm sure quite painful with the treatments she has to get. Plus lately it seems I've been showered with worries, but the Lord & I are trying to figure them out, so that makes me feel better. Have a great day my friend. I hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely and peaceful

Lovely peaceful place.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful. My sanctum is the bedroom.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely spot to meditate. Thanks for your visit, have a great day. Diane
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to relax and meditate !
ReplyDeleteMy Sanctum is in the garden of the house, on the swing. I have a wide perspective, I see a lot of greenery and the sky, it is quiet and they seem to be far from the rest of the world.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Day!
What a beautiful place. My Sanctum is when I walking. gives me time to think about things.
ReplyDeleteIt so beautiful place
ReplyDeleteLovely and peaceful...
What a wonderful place to be! Right now, my sanctum is going for a walk and listening to a podcast while hoping this situation will go away soon
ReplyDeleteEverybody needs some alone time! I go for a walk. As with your pool, here in the resort where we spend the winter season, I have to pick a quiet time, otherwise I just end up talking to other people. If I *really* need quiet time, I drive to one of the nearby nature areas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place.
ReplyDeleteI live alone, so have my entire apartment to myself, but my favorite spot to pray is seated on the floor in a secluded corner of my den. I have a pillow to sit on, and a wedge to support my back against the wall.
That's a lovely sanctum. Mine is our terrace, and sometimes downstairs in the lawns, or to one of my cafe's without too much people around. My office space is also my sanctum as I go there only twice a week.
ReplyDeleteBut having said that these days our home is our sanctum, now that we are staying indoors mostly. Though I did go for a short walk yesterday.
How are things at your end dear Veronica? Getting better?
Stay safe and healed. Much love. xoxo
Here's what I, trying to do these days;

There are just the two of us in our 1100 sq' condo so sometimes it feels too quiet. We go outside to walk on the deserted streets in our neighbourhood or an uncrowded park. Even dogs have had their lives changed with fewer and shorter walks. - Margy
