Street Art

These photos were captured during a recent visit back to Hubby's hometown, Georgetown - a UNESCO World Heritage site in Penang. The paintings were by Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic of international fame.
One for the album
Sadly, the paintings did not weather our sunny and wet climate well and by the time I captured these, time has taken its toll on them and they looked kinda faded, bleached by the rays of the sun.

Sharing instead, the rest of the artist's paintings from other websites when they were in all their original glory.

These are so amazing! I've never really seen art like this before, where it involves real props. Very cool!

  15. Amazing art! Thanks for sharing. I wonder how they keep the bike there without people steeling parts from it. It's happened several times to my son when he locks his bike that people steel from it, a piece here, a piece there. It's frustrating. I guess that's South Africa for you.

  17. Wow, those murals are amazing! I think your pictures look not so faded. i've noticed that photos come out brighter/darker than what I saw, giving them a richer color soemtimes. Thank you for sharing the murals.
