Pizza fest on Father's Day
Roadside shrine. Explanation here.
Spotted these unique purple flowers by a roadside drain. Not sure what they are though.
The Malays and Peranakans use the Butterfly Pea as a natural blue dye for cakes, rice, dumplings and beverages.
A funny video to share
Gotta love the cheeky banter!
Her: This is my clitorial bush.
Him: Laughs nervously. That is called a clitorial bush?!
Love to see these unique flowers!
ReplyDeleteHope your lockdown is over.
Take care! :-)
Mussels on a pizza? I don't think I've seen that before! I am curious too. Is your lockdown over? Hope it is!

Lol... I can understand Gordon's hesitation :D
ReplyDeleteLovly purple color of the tea!
Hi from my Huawei, we have never seen an okra - how does it taste like?

Haha for Gordon.
I became "aga-aga", too.

ReplyDeleteDear Veronica,
ReplyDeletehaha - really an interesting plant with special properties and a VERY special name ;-DD
WOW, you have a breathtaking view from your balcony! Your food photos whet my appetite ... These roadside shrines also met us everywhere in Thailand ... there is something similar in Austria too, we call it "Marterl" - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bildstock
Thank you for your lovely lines on the blog!
All the best and happy weekend, Traude
This was a wonderful full of imagery post, Veronica Lee. We also have great views from our 5th floor apt windows, but I suspect your condo views are higher up. The pizza fest looked delicious with so many choices😋

ReplyDeletePizza with shrimps, squids, and mussels is my favorite! I also like that pizza with pink onions and olives.
ReplyDeleteI've had yellow (lemon/orange), pink (strawberry), and green (mint) drinks, but not a purple one :-) ... Anyway, I wouldn't my mind a glass of that purple drink. Great pictures of the sunshine between the two towers!
A nice weekend to you!
ha ha you made me laugh about the purple flower. The food looks good but I'm wondering about the tall green thing, kinda looks like either a bitter melon or okra.
ReplyDeleteHello,

The pizza looks delicious, I love pizza.
Lovely images and mosaics.

ReplyDeleteJenna
...those pizzas are amazing, but don't the shells get stuck in your teeth?
ReplyDeleteThat Purple flower is gorgeous! You know, that is my favorite color. Looking out to the skies from your balcony is lovely. And the pizza looks so Yummy! We have that same white flower with the brown ring inside in California. I think it's the most unique and pretty flower. It even looks prettier in your photo with a few drops of water on it. : )
ReplyDelete~Sheri
You've been getting some great shots from your balcony--the helicopter, this sunset.
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers.
Those pizza pictures are making me very hungry.
The unique purple flowers (photos after the roadside shrine) is called blue Porterweed. It attracts butterflies, so you can find them in butterfly gardens. In Florida, they grow like weeds!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I can't blame Gordon for that reaction either. Lovely photos as always!
ReplyDeletelove your photos and the smile at the end
ReplyDeleteA great series of shots! But shellfish on pizza? That's a new one on me!

ReplyDeleteThose pizzas look good. I love the photos of the sun between the buildings.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't see the video. It says it is blocked in my country on copyright grounds. The flower is very pretty and it is clear to see how it was named.
Great shots, love the sun with the buildings. The Huawei takes great photos. Our new P30 is even better than the last one which was really nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots and I had a slice of each of those pizzas. Yummy and thank you for posting those.
