Tattoo artist Fred Giovannitti who spends 10 days out of each month, out of state to work, colours his kids' drawings when he is on the plane. When he leaves for his monthly trips, the kids give him pictures they've drawn. Fred colors the drawings, transforms them into amazing works of art and gives the pictures back to Freddie, aged eight, and Sofia, six, when he returns.
'My children like to draw me pictures for my trip so I can keep them close to me while I'm away,' he says.
What a sweet collaboration between a loving father and his kids!
Amazing transformation in his children's work...then into the coloring.
ReplyDeleteWow.
Where do you find these fabulous subjects you post about?!!!
Beautiful works and the connection between kids and father must be something everyone desire! Good for them.
ReplyDeletecheers,
i think this is a great "bonding" experience. even though they are apart, they have something to look forward to on his return, and he has a piece of them with him on his trips.
ReplyDeleteThe artist Dave Devries' The Monster Engine does this to.
ReplyDeleteaww what a sweet thing for him to do while he is away from his kids!
