Gone But Not Forgotten

It has been five years since Hermie, our beloved hermit crab has gone to crab heaven. He was the boys' first pet among our menagerie of fish, turtles, hamsters and guinea pigs. We still grief for that little guy from time to time especially at the sight of the empty shells that were once worn by him.

Upon the boys' request, I made these cookies in memory of our wee crabby buddy.

We miss you, little fella!

What cute cookies! Never had a crab as a pet, but I hear they are enjoyed by many as a family pet:)

I do love the cookies! I've never seen anything like those around, they're awesome.

Sorry to hear about your hermit crab. My son wanted to get one (and we are on vacation). Even under normal circumstances that little guy's days would be numbered. (I have to work on getting him to understand that he has to be responsible for a pet - even a little hermit crab!)

The cookies are adorable!!
