It has been five years since
Hermie, our beloved hermit crab went to crab heaven. He was the boys' first pet among our menagerie of fish, turtles, hamsters and guinea pigs. We still grief for that little guy from time to time especially at the sight of the empty shells that were once worn by him.
Upon the boys' request, I made these cookies in memory of our wee crabby buddy.
We miss you, little fella!
Soooo sweet!!!! (Bet the cookies are too. ;))
ReplyDeleteWhat cute cookies! Never had a crab as a pet, but I hear they are enjoyed by many as a family pet:)

Aw, that is a very sweet way to remember your little friend!
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet! I actually thought about getting hermit crabs for my boys.
ReplyDeleteAww, poor Hermie. :(
ReplyDeleteI do love the cookies! I've never seen anything like those around, they're awesome.

ReplyDeleteThese are too cute! They would be perfect for an end of summer party.
ReplyDeleteso sweet.. those cookies are too cute to eat!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your hermit crab. My son wanted to get one (and we are on vacation). Even under normal circumstances that little guy's days would be numbered. (I have to work on getting him to understand that he has to be responsible for a pet - even a little hermit crab!)
ReplyDeleteThe cookies are adorable!!
