Amezaiku

Amezaiku translates as 'sweet candy craft'. Once quite popular, today Amezaiku is a dying art.
An artist takes multi-colored taffy and using his hands and other instruments such as tweezers and scissors, creates a sculpture of his choosing. An Amezaiku artist also paints his or her sculpted candy with edible dyes to give the finished work more character.
Animals and insects are common shapes created by the Amezaiku , often to the appeal of younger children. The artist often creates intricate animal characters with expert speed. Some Amezaiku artists are also street performers who also perform magic tricks and tell stories along with their candy craft entertainment.

Canstruction

Combining the competitive spirit of a design/build competition, Canstruction is a unique way to help feed hungry people.
Competing teams showcase their talents by constructing giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods.
At the close of the exibitions, all of the food used in the structures is donated to local food banks.

What does he eat? And why does he taste so good in a salad?
Those are the few questions that we may never find an answer for...
