Just a gallimaufry of photos ...
Yes, sunflowers in December!
Christmas trees in a mall
From a distance, I thought these were fallen leaves ...
Turned out, they were starfruits!

James Bond Island
The island was chosen as one of the locations for the 1974 James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun as the hideout for Bond's antagonist, Francisco Scaramanga.
Ah, Roger Moore — my all-time favourite James Bond actor.
Who is yours?
Love the beautiful sunflowers. The starfruit is interesting. Happy Birthday to your #2 son. The crab feast looks yummy! I would love to visit Thailand. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day. I wish you a happy week ahead.
What a marvelous Christmas tree!ReplyDelete
Actually, those yellow fruits seem the same fallen leaves as we see in early Autumn. I have heard of melon and grapefruit in December, but not of sunflowers.
Thank you for sharing the video of James Bond island, Veronica :-)
Fascinating series of photos! Love these.ReplyDelete
Thank you for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/12/merry-christmas.html, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
Beautiful collection of photos - I recognized star fruit right away and smiled - tasty. Merry Christmas!ReplyDelete
I have eaten starfruit here. They taste very nice. The Chrismastree was very beautiful!ReplyDelete
Happy Monday, Veronica!
...Veronica, you have so many wonderful Christmas treats. Stay safe and enjoy a Merry Christmas.ReplyDelete
I am drooling over the food...so GOOD! I miss good old starfruits.ReplyDelete
Yes, Roger Moore was good, but Sean Connery was the very best James Bond.ReplyDelete
Merry Christmas - I hope your days are blessed.
Beautiful photos. The food looks delicious.ReplyDelete
Enjoyed your photos, I am a Sean Connery fan.ReplyDelete
Beautiful photos. The sunflowers are my favorite flowers in spring I always plant them in our garden.ReplyDelete
I prefer Sean Connery, when I went to Edinburgh I saw the house where he was born.
Have a good week.
Beautiful photographs and I got stuck on all the food. Yummy and I helped myself to all of is.ReplyDelete
Have a fabulous day and week, Veronica. ♥
The starfruit is neat...never saw it on the tree! And I love the trees in the mall. What a fun birthday celebration too. Happy holidays!ReplyDelete
Miss the Christmas Season in Singapore, for both of us the BEST memories.
Wow, what a lot of star fruits fallen down...
Cleaning the roof is a risky business but the results looked fantastic!
Sure, Roger Moore was the BEST.
Beautiful photos and so colourful and all that lovely food yum :-)ReplyDelete
Have a tinseltastic Christmas 🎄🎄🎅🎅
Beautiful images Veronica, I love 'em.ReplyDelete
That is so neat that you were able to see the island from the actual Bond film. Roger Moore is also my favorite, I love how he is always smiling.ReplyDelete
That looks like a really big mall! I do like the decorations in it! Yummy with the food for your son's birthday! (happy belated birthday to him). It always makes me nervous to see people working on roofs. I'm afraid they are going to slip off. I'm not super into Bond movies so I asked my hubby who his favorite Bond was and he said Sean Connery :)ReplyDelete
Bellas fotografías. Adore el árbol de navidad y el postre. Te deseo una feliz navidad y prospero año nuevo para ti y tu familia.ReplyDelete
Apparently there's a mall somewhere with a talking tree. It's computerized, and the head just looks wrong. I prefer your trees.ReplyDelete
Not much of a Bond fan, so no opinion.
The crab feast looks delicious. Belated Happy Birthday to your son. I like Roger Moore, but I also confess to having a liking for Pierce Brosnan. Merry Christmas, Veronica.ReplyDelete
My goodness, Veronica, those are HUGE Christmas trees. And how interesting to see all those star fruit on the ground - will animals eat them? I like to think about James Bond actors in the "old days", in which case I would choose Sean Connery, and current day, when I would choose Daniel Craig. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!ReplyDelete
Those are definitely big trees. I'm eyeing up that dessert too but that spot in Thailand is already on my list.ReplyDelete
Oh look at that your James Bond Island pics from 1991 - you should come back I have been living close by in Phuket all year and they say it is like stepping back in time there now!ReplyDelete
Have a lovely festive season!
I love your flowers and food photos:) Happy new week:)ReplyDelete
As always, I so enjoy your photos from the other side of my world! The food looks amazing, and I just love those Christmas trees at the mall! Love the man on the roof photos too - how interesting! Have a great week ahead!ReplyDelete
I think I want to sit under the tree and catch the starfruit as they fall. They cost a fortune here!ReplyDelete
I have a friend who is in Phuket on vacation right now. I loved Roger Moore as James Bond. THe other actors were fine also.ReplyDelete
I love your mall Christmas Trees, and your star fruit and the food.
Workers on roofs amaze me. Especially that guy, cleaning the roof.
the christmas trees are gorgeous, but the food, oh the food, so yummy. i LOVE the looks of the tea paris brest!!ReplyDelete
i enjoyed seeing james bond island!!
I would like to visit Thailand properly. Our only time was a ferry trip to the south via Langkawi. Happy Christmas Veronica.ReplyDelete
What a nice pictures. Delicious all the lovely food.
And what a great picture of that high christmas tree.
Tus galimatías son siempre bonitos, divertidos y deliciosos. Las fotos son magníficas.ReplyDelete
Roger Moore es, por supuesto, mi preferido.
Oh what a big christmas tree I like it so much!ReplyDelete
I wish you and your familiy merry Christmas and than a happy new Year!
Lots of fun and interesting photos. The starfruit really got me. I've never seen it grow! Best wishes for a Merry Christmas.ReplyDelete
What great photos! My faves are the Christmas trees and tea in Paris-Brest.ReplyDelete
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've never seen a James Bond film in its entirely (just clips). It's a major blind spot in my pop culture knowledge. LOL.
I've never seen star fruit growing on a tree. My daughter loves them, they are delicious. Glad you all had a great time celebrating your son's birthday, the food looks great. Have a wonderful holiday season.ReplyDelete
Happy birthday to #2 son. All the food looks delicious!ReplyDelete
A wonderful array of photographs.ReplyDelete
I especially liked seeing the sunflowers and Christmas Trees.
All the best Jan
I thought those star fruit were leaves too! What pretty sunflowers.ReplyDelete
The food looks so good and I love the Christmas tree;s.ReplyDelete
All of those foods look wonderful, let's eat! I don't think I'd like that roof cleaning job. I always liked Roger Moore as Bond too but Sean Connery was right up there.ReplyDelete
Many new things to me here; starfruits, sunflower and Christmas tree at the same time, dangerous roof cleaning on the wet slippery roof, etc. Happy birthday to your son. Wish you Happy Holiday season.ReplyDelete
The Christmas décor looks amazing, and I'm tempted by the food pics. Looks yum!ReplyDelete
Such big Christmas trees in the shopping center, I've never seen it like that.ReplyDelete
The food looks delicious.
I wish you and all your loved ones happy holidays and a healthy 2022.
Thank you for showing me thisReplyDelete
Love the Christmas tree photos. Mom went to James Bond Island back in the 1980's. I think she has photos like yours from there. She loved Thailand down by Phuket.ReplyDelete
I am so amazed especially by the rare images! I appreciate a lot that you shared them to us.ReplyDelete
The others are awesome. Full of bright , colors and smells!
You are gifted in such presentations!
Happy WW! Merry Christmas, Veronica! All the best in your world!
A wonderful collection of photos, once again, Veronica. Looks like son #2 had a delicious birthday celebration with all those crab treats! That Christmas tree is very large and apparently in a nearby mall. I like =d the poinsettia decorations on all of the trees. Hope the guy on the roof got the wire work done safely, although being on the roof hardly seemed safe. Sending best wishes to you and your family for a very happy holiday season and a better new year.ReplyDelete
Thank you for this outstanding post!ReplyDelete
I'm sending you my warmest thoughts and best wishes for a wonderful Christmas. May peace, love, prosperity follow you always.

Lovely post and enjoyed the movie bit with Roger Moore. Great scenery. Never been to Thailand. It looks so beautiful.ReplyDelete
Wishing you peace, joy and happiness in 2022.
Happy Holidays, Veronica, interesting collection of photos and stories behind them. The crab fest and X'mas tree look amazing.....ReplyDelete
delicious foods and big Christmas tree attracted my attentions... great shots.ReplyDelete
Mery Christmas and happy new year
Before I forget, I wanted to thank you for coming to Marmelade Gypsy and leaving a lovely comment. I hope your holidays have been and continue to be lovely ones.ReplyDelete
You're a marvelous photographer and I loved each and every image, but my favorite was your Paris Brest. We made one of those a number of years ago -- great fun and so delicious. It brought back a lovely memory!
The mall Christmas tree is so festive and pretty. Love all the red - they look like red poinsettias. That dessert looks delicious. The girls said that the food in Paris is really good, and that's something they remember. Wow, I've never seen starfruit before, how interesting. I used to watch the James Bond movies all the time back in the day.ReplyDelete
I hope the new year brings you much goodness. It's nice getting to know you this year in blog land.
Pretty sunflower 🌻. Happy holidays 😀!ReplyDelete
Thank you very much for visiting and commenting on my blog.ReplyDelete
