Sometimes the wrong train will get you to the right station.
The Lunch Box, a heartwarming movie set in Mumbai, revolves around a mistaken delivery by the Dabbawalas (lunchbox service) of Mumbai, which leads to a relationship between Saajan, a lonely widower close to retirement, and Ila, an unhappy housewife, as they start exchanging notes through the daily lunchbox.

Wow what a beautiful blog again with the food looking delicious. To those Chinese guardian lions made of balloons are true works of art. But also the views were beautiful. Visiting the Vatican was so much fun, I definitely want to go again. The fact that they have their own police force for such a small area is truly unique!

ReplyDeleteThe train pictures really got to me. I love to hear the train whistle blowing. My grandfather worked for the railroad in the same town that I was born in. The food looks so delicious on your post today. I especially like that cookie. What a delightful display of the Chinese lions made out of balloons. Interesting about the Vatican. Jess went there several years ago, and brought me back a Rosary. It was a very special gift.

Dear Veronica, I also really liked the film The Lunch Box - and that statement is true. My girlfriend Gaby and I actually and literally once (in 1981) took a "wrong" train to the "right" station: we were supposed to go to Valencia, but for some reason the train ended in Barcelona - where our Interrail journey after many problems became really perfect!

ReplyDeleteThe Chinese Lions!! My oldest used to be the bottom of one for shows. He still volunteers to instruct with the teacher from his youth. It's a love that has lasted a lifetime.
