Sometimes the wrong train will get you to the right station.

quote from the movie The Lunch Box

The Lunch Box, a heartwarming movie set in Mumbai, revolves around a mistaken delivery by the Dabbawalas (lunchbox service) of Mumbai, which leads to a relationship between Saajan, a lonely widower close to retirement, and Ila, an unhappy housewife, as they start exchanging notes through the daily lunchbox.

I love yellow rice (Pulao and Paneer), but it isn't easy to buy yellow rice here in Italy.
We can always see Italian police in Vatican Square but, as mentioned by ChatGTP, Italian police can't cross the border.

    Have a nice weekend, Veronica!

  26. Wow what a beautiful blog again with the food looking delicious. To those Chinese guardian lions made of balloons are true works of art. But also the views were beautiful. And especially the quote you posted there. Life is like a train ride I always say. I had once wrote this words too https://tinedejong.blogspot.com/2018/02/trein-van-jouw-leven.html but i react now with my nature website because I had met a beautiful nature reserve. And would like to share this with you and maybe others also who read this. And if you go one page back on this website with you will also see a super beautiful encounter with a special caterpillar I had met. L.G, Tine NL

  30. Visiting the Vatican was so much fun, I definitely want to go again. The fact that they have their own police force for such a small area is truly unique!

  31. The Lunchbox sounds like a sweet movie, just what we need sometimes (don't imagine we will get it here though)..... loved your food photos and must remember not to come here just before I start to think about making dinner -- mine will not look as delicious today .

  32. The train pictures really got to me. I love to hear the train whistle blowing. My grandfather worked for the railroad in the same town that I was born in. The food looks so delicious on your post today. I especially like that cookie. What a delightful display of the Chinese lions made out of balloons. Interesting about the Vatican. Jess went there several years ago, and brought me back a Rosary. It was a very special gift.

    Have a wonderful week.

  35. Dear Veronica, I also really liked the film The Lunch Box - and that statement is true. My girlfriend Gaby and I actually and literally once (in 1981) took a "wrong" train to the "right" station: we were supposed to go to Valencia, but for some reason the train ended in Barcelona - where our Interrail journey after many problems became really perfect!
Your food photos are very tempting again and the Chinese guardian lions as balloons and cookies are funny.
    Have a good time!
    Hugs and all the best,
    Traude
