Fun Fact
According to Feng Shui, an elephant figurine with its trunk up symbolizes fortune and success, whereas a downward facing trunk is compared with a vacuum cleaner that sucks in negative chi!

Is it just me or have you noticed that since Blogger did something funny to the comment box, most of the comments now end up as spam?

  5. All your food always looks so delicious! I must have known that elephant fact as I have a few elephant sculptures that have their trunks raised in the air! :) Your Eiffel Tower photos are wonderful--I hope to see it in person one day!

  6. I will check spam, for sure. Some of my comments on other blogs have met the same fate.

  7. Those flowers with the water droplets on them are exquisite! And I have never heard of steamed eggs, but they look delicious! I have noticed comments going into spam. I'm glad that I get the email notices of comments so that when I go and look for them on my blog to respond to and they are not posted, I know they are stuck in spam. Not happy with Blogger doing that! I hope you had a great Mother's Day Veronica!

  8. I knew that elephants were supposed to have their trunks up. I thought elephants with trunks down were bad luck. Thank you for correcting my misinformation.

When you comment, make sure to switch the anonymous to name/url. The other thing you can do is switch your comments to where you get that popup box. People can't reply to individual comments, but that commenting system is still on the old system, so it works as before.

  17. What a fun collection, as always! Loved the travel, the food, the bird life, all of it. Very curious about the technique for steamed eggs, and am going to look that up (they look like perfectly made delicious scrambled ones). I am certainly going to make sure any elephant statues I ever get have trunks up!!!

  33. Lovely colourful photos.I am getting the same problems with comments going into spam. I get the notifications but they don't appear on my blog. They weren't waiting to be moderated either so I went hunting for them and found about 15 stuck in spam. I have found in quite a few blogs I comment on that the comment disappears instead of publishing. Very annoying!!

  44. Dear Veronica,
I think the comment function is currently "work in progress", so there are a few stupid things happening. One of my long-time blog friends also ended up in the spam folder, while real spam was not recognized ;-) I hope they can fix this soon. Very nice your photos again - I love flowers after the rain and parrots and hope to visit the Eiffel Tower one day, too. Your food photos are another attack on my resilience ;-DD
    Hugs from Austria,

  46. Those steamed eggs and bbq looked really good, Veronica Lee, as does all the food you show in these posts. I know not to look before having eaten!

As for blogger comments, I have read that many people are having issues in not being able to post comments. I have not noticed any problems in either doing so or receiving comments on my posts.

Hope you are having a good weekend. It's another rainy day here!
