I'm back from my vacation, pallies! Still a little heady though after a krazyyy week of chaotic fun. Together with my dad, we met up with my sister and her family in Singapore where we headed for the sun-kissed paradise of Nirwana Gardens in Bintan, Indonesia. The beach resort lived up to its name which translates as "perfect bliss".
Bintan Island (Negeri Segantang Lada), an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia, is only an hour's ferry ride away from Singapore's Tanah Merah ferry terminal.
We stayed at the Indra Maya Villas
The 3 bedroom villa, a fusion of Indonesian, Thai and Chinese architecture comes with a six-seater buggy, a private pool, a courtyard, an open-air sunken bath and a fully-equipped kitchen.
All the bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms wrap around the airy central atrium that soars into an inverted 'V' ceiling.
The living room opens to a balinese courtyard on one side and spills over to the generous terrace where the pool and cabana are located.

Rodney couldn't wait to jump into the pool!
A private haven
Beyond the railing, the terrace cascades down a tropical hillside
Look who squirrelled away our lunch on the cabana!

Aunty J chauffeuring my dad and the boys around the resort

Rodney doing the Trampoline Bungee
Josh towing cousin B and Aunty J to sea
Brave little Rodney trying out the Flying Fox, a sport not for the faint hearted!
The zip-line towers at 75m above sea level and is 888m long, probably the longest in Asia.
Climbing up the ladder
Getting ready to zip off
Gliding 888 metres across
Grabbing the net before sliding back to the ground
Josh ferrying cousin B on an electric bike around the 'village'
Just another day in paradise
