My younger son Rodney treated the hubs and me to dinner to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary.
Rodney is in his final semester of university and the money came from the voice-over gigs he has been doing part time.
We are so proud of this young man that we have raised and truly appreciate his sweet and thoughtful gesture.
Thank you, son!
Ah, the rollercoaster ride that is parenting!During those teen years, he and his elder brother were a constant challenge to my patience and a full-on attack on my sanity!
YES, parenting is the toughest and most rewarding job you'll ever have.
Hello, it's nice to have such a great son. Yes, I have been told time and time again that it's wonderful when the children don't get astray, and that's the case with my son too.
ReplyDeleteI am proud of my son, daughter-in-law and also my grandson.
Greetings Eva
I am gld that the good times have come with the kids. I have only one daughter and she has never given me a day's trouble really. Now she lives far away and I only see her a couple of times a year. But we raise them to be independent, after all. That looks like a lot of food - and a carnivore's delight!
ReplyDeleteHappy 28th Anniversary and well done on your son. It's a lot of work, but when they turn out well it's worth it all.
ReplyDeleteOh the food. I took a bit of each dish. Yummy.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
What an amazing meal! And congratulations on your anniversary. In 20 years, you will have caught up with us! (Hard to imagine how fast the time flies, isn't it? And hard to remember un-married life!)

ReplyDeleteSmiled at your thoughts about the new blogspot editor, Same here for wordpress! Don't know if parenting was an attack of my sanity, but my will power for sure, and to know the right balance about enforcing our rules and letting them make mistakes:) Happy for you that your son knows how to treat you well and to be generous - 2 important characteristics. He will make it in this world!
ReplyDeleteWishing you many, many Anniversaries ahead, in very colored spaces, full of harmony, together with your loved ones!
ReplyDeleteBe happy, health and full of joy!
And, of course, Happy WW!
Hello my friend,
ReplyDeleteI have missed you. Congratulations on 28 years!! God bless loads. Rodney is quite a talented man and I can see you have raised your boys so well.
I've been away. Initially under the weather, but now on the mend. Working out of the mountains since last week on a precious book project.
I've missed my #WW gang especially you, dear Vero. I have very limited network here too.
Hope to see you in this week's blog hop. I'll be hosting #WW every 1st and third Wednesday now.
