My mom used to drive a Morris Minor just like this one. I will always treasure the memories I have of her driving her blue Morris Minor and the good times we shared while riding in it. Mom bought it in the 60s and she drove it right into the noughties. It was her first and only car. She refused to get behind the wheel of any other car than her Morris Minor!
Boxy, with round headlights, and a chrome grille, it was a beauty.

ReplyDeleteDear Veronica, the Morris Minor really is a lovely vehicle - I love these classic cars. How great that your mother drove a car like this through all the decades. That also means that it was of good quality - and it's pretty too!
ReplyDeleteI also find the crocheted beetles, butterflies and caterpillars on the tree very cute - a delightful idea. The food looks extremely delicious and tempting - I really like the beautiful fish with the lemon slices - and also love your travel photo from the Grand-Place from 2019. I've never been to Brussels (only in other places in Belgium), but maybe I'll make it one day.

We also cook fishes with garlic, lemon and parsley (lemon instead of lime, as we don't have lime here).

Why people feel the urge to stick all that crap on the tree is beyond my comprehension. It took all those years to grow, is clad in tough, beautiful bark and needs no adornment of human trivia.
