THE GREAT MALAYSIAN FLOOD OF 2021

Malaysia suffered its worst flooding caused by incessant torrential rains on December 17 and 18.
image sources  The New Straits Times and Berita Harian

36 hours of sustained heavy rainfall
More than a month's worth of rain fell that day in most parts of the country.

Thanks for the prayers and emails of concern, pallies.  We are fortunate that the area where we live was unaffected.

  11. Floods have been a huge problem in Canada too. It is devastating to watch people lose their homes and all the mementos of a lifetime. Life will never be the same for them again. I am sure it is no different in Malaysia. It reinforces that we are all one.

  24. Hello Veronica Lee, I had read and seen photos of the devastating floods in Malaysia which sadly affected your countrymen. Good to read you and your family were safe and when I saw the aerial views I had wondered if they might be from your balcony.

The skywatch views you post in the blog are amazingly beautiful and I was curious if you did any post-processing or not. Also I forgot how high your vantage is. but it certainly is higher than our own 5th floor viewpoint.

The hydrangeas are such a lovely flower. My daughter has a big purple bush in her front yard. You have incredible sky views from your balcony. The skies are mysterious and beautiful. The chicken dish looks Yummy. I hope this new year brings you many good things.

  57. Oh, my goodness, stunning photography. The blossoms are gorgeous. You capture such detail. I would like to get a macro lens to be able to get very close details without trying to sneak up on butterflies and hummingbirds.

Those skies are so ominous and threatening and yet beautiful at the same time. Thankful you are safe and hoping your community is beginning to return to normalcy after the flooding. Stay safe.
