Cheryl

My son's girlfriend, H , was inconsolable when Cheryl, her fur baby, shuffled off to dog heaven.

We felt that a gift of a pet portrait would express our condolence more than a thousand words.

We were certain that it would bring healing and comfort to her hurting heart.

An artist friend was commissioned to paint Cheryl.

Cheryl captured in her glorious goofy beauty

H had the biggest smile on her face when she saw the painting and absolutely loved it!

  1. The artist did a great job!! Sorry for the loss of Cheryl; those pets really become part of family and so hard to see them depart from this earth. Very kind gesture for you all to think of a portrait of Cheryl to help H in her grief. Is she planning on getting another puppy/dog down the line?

  8. What a great idea - the painting looks very good! Always knew that the animals in the book of Revelation would be there, but lately I have heard from someone who visited heaven that people's pets are there too!
Thank you for sharing this experience with All Seasons! Have a lovely Easter week, Jesh

  14. A lovely idea. I gave my Aunt big photographs of all her fur babies through the years I had taken when they got older, just in case we wouldn't see them again at our next visit. They have pride of place in her house.

  15. Veronica, It looks and sounds like you captured Cheryl's spirit and personality in that portrait. Pet dogs soon become members of the family and it is very hard to lose a beloved pet.
