Pantai Bersih

These photos were taken at the beach near my in-laws' place. Pantai Bersih in Malay translates as 'clean beach' but the beach hardly lives up to its name!
It's not exactly the kinda beach you wanna take a dip in - the water is icky, mushy and smelly, caused by the  mudflats that are exposed at low tide.

Itty-bitty crabs emerge from their muddy burrows to forage and court when the tide goes out

There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky; there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.

  1. Terima kasih kerana melawat blog saya. Saya pengikut baru.Saya juga menggunakan Google Translate.Saya suka berada di sebelah air.Tetapi apabila saya telah menjangkakan anakku tertua, saya terpaksa meninggalkan Fisherman Wharf di San Francisdo kerana bau hanyir adalah memberangsangkan.: O)

  3. That's too bad about the mudflats at "clean beach". Still it must offer some beautiful scenery for your in-laws.

  10. Tried my best to see a WW post but it never came up on my computer so I'm commenting on your Tuesday post! I love water...ocean, lakes, even big puddles but a clean beach is much more preferable to a dirty one! Blessings to you and thanks for linking up at www.nanahood.com Do come back!

  16. I'm with Theresa, the photos are great, and kids on the beach (like dogs) don't seem to mind little things like mud and yuck. :) Have a wonderful weekend. Rosemary
