Alain Delorme - Totems

These astounding images were captured by French photographer Alain Delorme. They are his latest series of photographs entitled "Totems" that were shot in China. While on art residency in Shanghai, he was fascinated by the sculptural quality of the loads that were ingeniously stacked on the bicycles and other rigged vehicles of migrant workers.

  4. I won't even begin to figure out how they balance with heavy loads.

  5. Saw this the first time during the Amazing Race. I simply can't believe that the riders can carry such tall & heavy load in their mini rides.

  6. The photography is great, but what really grabs me are the individuals working so hard to make a living. In my life of ease and plenty, this form of human labour is unheard of. Posts like this one help me remember my many blessings and my committment to share with others in need. Thank you, Veronica, for sharing this touching post.
