Mike Stilkey

L.A based artist Mike Stilkey paints on stacked book spines, creating a sculptured surface of whimsical, yet poignant portraits of animals and people.

  2. Wow, that's impressive! If we had books like that, I'd probably never be able to tell what the actual picture was because my kids would always have the books misplaced!

  6. I've seen dvd box sets like that, they have some picture when you put them together. I like it. I've never seen that done on book spines though, it's pretty cool.

  7. That's really creative and must have been difficult. There's a guy here in Cleveland who paints images on shoes. It doesn't sound like much but it's pretty impressive.

    I just want to say your new background of purples.. I am in love.. Purple is my favorite color....... lilac, lavendar... etc.. makes me smile.
