Pet Therapy

My son, Josh, is always saying that when he gets a place of his own, the first thing he would do is to adopt a dog. Dogs and cats are not allowed in the condo where we are currently staying. Besides, our mere 1208 sq ft unit is too crammed already with the four of us and a guinea pig. It would be impossible to accommodate a larger pet.

An old pic of Josh with my cousin's Japanese Spitz
Growing up, our dogs and cats were my best friends and they gave me the therapy I needed to survive those adolescent years and teen angst.

Sharing these heart-warming pics of kids with their pets from an e-mail forward I received. These are just 10 out of the 25 pics from the site .  More here.

  2. Your cookies are so cute! I loved all the pictures with the pets and kids! It is fun to have a dog, I know I'll miss Koda when he's no longer with us. Lots of work, but fun to have around :)

  4. I can't imagine living without a pet of some sort. I even had a little lizard when I was in college. :)

I hope your son adopts a dog when he is older and has a place of his own. I wish that happiness for him.

  6. My son Hunter loves dogs and cats too. I am waiting to get him a pet though until he is a tiny bit older. Lovely post! Your son looks like a total sweetie!

  7. I also hear that having pets in an assisted living and nursing homes helps lift up people's spirits. That is unless one of them is like me, and is allergic to every furry type pet out there.

  9. These photos are quite possible the cutest pictures I have ever seen and your puppy cookies are just adorable. My daughter adores animals too and I'd love to get her a kitten sometime soon and a puppy maybe a few years down the track.

  10. Those are some great pics. Veronica. I love the baby in the swing. I know what you mean about not being able to have pets. We all pretty much have allergies/asthma and can't have dogs or cats. My boys would love to have a dog too.
