Frozen

Bebaskan , bebaskan , tak dapat ku pendam lagi........

Dang! I just can't get this song out of my head! And if you're wondering what I'm rambling about, it's that song from the movie "Frozen", except that this is our Malay version, one of the 25 different languages the song "Let It Go" was sung in.

"Bebaskan" by Marsha Milan Londoh

And here's the youtube video my son has been playing all morning

"Let It Go" in 25 languages in 4 minutes

I was inspired to make these cookies. Can you guess what they are?  Hint - they are supposed to be Olaf, the adorable talking snowman from "Frozen". My boys thought they were ghosts before I added those twiggy hands and hair!  Dang! And I was so proud of my attempt!

So how are my bloggy buddies from the other side of the pond keeping?  Still battling the cold in this never ending winter? On the other extreme, we're baking over here in the unrelenting heat. We've been having a hot and dry spell for several weeks now.
Wanna trade places?

  1. I knew that was Olaf immediately!! I LOVE Olaf...but I think you would know that. Every time I look at him, I just laugh. :)

We are freaking freezin', pally. It is still below zero and I don't think we are ever gonna warm up. It's depressing as heck. Yes....I would like to trade for a few weeks!

  4. I really enjoyed listening to the song in Malay - it's a beautiful song. For my niece's birthday, my whole family went to see the movie together - 8 adults and 10 kids - we descended on the cinema! How amazing that it got translated into 25 languages! I'm really interested in the Malay language. I studied Indonesian for two years at university. They're very similar languages, aren't they? I love your cookies. Their expressions are just great. Your house must be such a fun place to live in!
